Understanding that flexible work arrangements play a role in supporting women in the Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) sector, members of Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE), Digiserve by Telkom Indonesia (Previously Telkomtelstra) have implemented flexible work arrangements as part of the company’s focus on Gender Equality in the Workplace ( WGE).
With leadership commitment and comprehensive support from the Human Resources (HR) department, the flexible work arrangement policy provides a more supportive environment for women and also increases employee engagement, productivity and cost efficiency for the company.
IBCWE with the assistance of Solidaritas conducted a case study on Digiserve by Telkom Indonesia’s flexible work arrangements and identified challenges, opportunities for change, actions, results, and developments that can be learned together.
