November 22, 2023The gap is measured by women’s participation, education outcomes, health and age, and political empowerment. Efforts to accommodate gender equality in the work place based on four categories in 106 countries included in this definition are predicted to take up to 100 years.
This study concluded that 13 successful countries successfully closed up their gap to 80%. Burundi is ranked at the top with an achievement of closing the gender economy to 91%, following Barbados (88%), Bahamas (87%), and Benin (86%). But the average country that included in the survey has closed 58% of the economic gender gap in 2017 or one percent compared to 2016 and 2015.
